What a beautiful post! I have three boys and a girl too! I’m forever grateful the Lord blessed me with a Daughter. She came last and I prayed hard for some pink in the house. Every time I look at her I’m reminded how much God cares for our heart’s desires. BTW, my boys are Awesome!

lol…I used so much pink that my daughter has banned it from any clothing or decor. 🙂 I am so glad to have someone who will take charge and take care of me when I am old and senile! I had 2 boys first and when I had my daughter I cried. I did not realize how much I wanted a girl…I loved my boys so much I didn’t think I really cared.

I’m so glad to meet more of your family! They’re beautiful! And it is so special to have a close relationship with your daughter during the high school years!
I have three daughters and two boys. My twin girls are nine and my littlest Joy is three. And you’re right, while we love our boys, as women we need other women. And so it is truly a blessing to have other women in our family that we can be close to.
Thanks for sharing, Sherrinda. Love the pictures!

What an awesome family you have! You make me want to have lots of kids. Right now we just have Brogan – our six month old smiley-guy (and let me tell you – he is smily). I wanted a boy first so badly, but now I’m afraid of having ALL boys. I truly want a daughter. But this is just me worrying and not trusting God. a very typical problem I have. Your daugther is also beautiful by the way. 🙂

I didn’t know you had 5 children, Jody! Where do your boys fall in line? It’s no wonder you have little time for your writing! My youngest is in middle school and I STILL feel like I have no time! And twins???? Whew! However did you manage?

Katie, all boys would be GREAT! Really. Alot of action, but not as much emotional turmoil. 😉 You are right, though, in that God knows the perfect family plan for each of us. I loved it when my kids got to 6 months and started to crawl. They were happier being able to get around where they wanted!

Sherrinda, how do you have all these gorgeous kids? LOL
That’s so cool that you have a good relationship with your kids. I hope I do too, someday. 🙂

I love this! Your family is beautiful, and it’s obvious you’re very close. It’s inspiring to see other Christian families thriving in today’s society. So give yourself a little pat on the back for successfully guiding your kids to be the terrific teens they are!
And I agree, girls AND boys are a blessing! I don’t know what I’d do without them.

Hi Sherrinda,
Yes, I have five beautiful children! I truly count it a blessing from the Lord considering that I’ve had several miscarriages along the way, and could have lost my twins (they were born premature). So the ages are 11 year old boy, 9 year old twin girls, 5 year old boy, 3 year old girl.
It’s super hard to find writing time, but I sacrifice my sleep and my free time, especially my love of reading. Once I’m done with my current WIP I’m taking a week just to read everything sitting in my stack!

Hey Jessica! You will have great relationships with your kids, I’m sure. I think a family surrounded by love and faith in God just makes for special ties. (Not that we don’t have our issues…aren’t we all a bit disfunctional in some way?) 😉

Lady Glamis, I absolutely love 2 year olds! The are one of my favorite ages. It seemed that in my family it was the Terrific Two’s and the Terrible Three’s! Three was when the NO started in really big. sigh….

Thanks Eileen! She does give them a run for their money! They are all good friends, I think.

Thanks Jill, but I cannot take credit. God just blessed us with some really easy going kids. I must admit that I did not get a strong willed one in the bunch! I know…it’s not fair, is it?

My goodness, Jody, what a journey you have been on. I don’t know how you ever find the time to write. Do you write late at night or early in the morning?
