Update on Me.

Well, I’m tired, but things are going better than I expected. I worked 56 hours last week and amazingly, I have gotten quite a bit done. I wonder if it could be due to the fact that I asked God for supernatural ability to get my work accomplished. I knew trying to move next week, along with the long hours at work, would be impossible for me to accomplish. At least on my own. I love it when God shows Himself faithful and answers my wimpy pleas for help.

This week is a repeat of last week, working long hours and packing every night, but I hope to have the same great success that I did last week. Go God!!!!

I’m talking about the scary business of ghostwriting over at The Writer’s Alley today. Stop back and tell me what your think about it.

And Now It Begins…

Today is my first day back to work. I work in an elementary school as a registrar/attendance clerk, and August is my nightmare month. Today I will get my bearings, check emails, and get organized for registration. Tuesday I have a day long district meeting where I will be told all the new things for the year. Then Wednesday registration starts. We do PreK and Kindergarten on Wednesday and Thursday so that I can start entering them into the system. It takes me about 15 minutes per student to get all the data entered. Times that by 65 PreK students and 100-120 Kindergarteners, plus another 100+ other new students 1-5th, and you have 10 hour days, 6 days a week. Yep.

That, in and of itself, is difficult, but coupled with the fact that we are going to be moving in August, well….I’m a little overwhelmed. We are downsizing and so I am having to really cull through our stuff and get rid of many decorative items, furniture, etc. It is such a good thing to simplify, but what a job it is to actually do it.

Oh, did I mention that school starts August 23? Yes, indeed. So…..

I am going to take a break blogging for the month of August. I will blog at The Writer’s Alley on Tuesdays, but  I just don’t think I can handle much more. I do have a couple of book reviews that I’ve scheduled, but other than that, I must let go and focus on getting my little family all settled.

So if you think about it, say a little prayer for me during this time. I know my family would appreciate it. I know I’m praying that I can keep my Cranky Pants stuffed in the closet. 😉

P.S. I am being featured today on Kaye Dacus’s blog in her Writer’s Window Monday Feature. Stop by for a peak.
