My Art Journal – Week 2 : Documented Life Project 2015

The challenge this week in the Documented Life Project 2015 was to add gesso to your page. The prompt was: “The beginning is always today” -Mary Shelley

I didn’t cover my pages with gesso first like most did. I painted it with orange, pink, and white, then added black gesso on the edges and here and there on the page. After stamping, adding collage papers, and journaling, I called it finished. I love the color and the black together.

Have a fabulous Wednesday!

  4. Oh Carolyn, you are so sweet! I don't feel like I'm an expert and I'm still learning a lot too! I got started while following Art to the 5th. They started the “Documented Life Project” and I have learned so much from them. Here is the link: http://www.arttothe5th.com/dlp-2015/ They also have a Facebook group called “Documented Life Project 2015”. Once you join the group, you get access to the “files” section that have a lot of tutorials. I had been posting more often, but got sidetracked with sickness and busyness at work. I hope to be posting more about my foray into mixed media. Thanks for commenting and I hope to see you next time!
