I broke down and bought my name on the world wide web. Are you shocked that it was available as a domain name? You know, as odd of a name as it is, I am not the only Sherrinda out there. When I found that out, I decided to go ahead and purchase my own domain. I can now be found as: www.sherrinda.com
Crazy, huh? I really debated on what to buy. Just Sherrinda? Or SherrindaKetchersid? Or SherrindaKetch? (to make it easier to spell! snort!) Or how about SherrindasWordshop? (which is my etsy store) I decided to keep is simple and just go with Sherrinda. Even if someone can’t spell it, hopefully google with suggest the correct me.
So why did I purchase my own domain? Well, basically, I am planning ahead for the time when my creative endeavors build to the point where I have my own ecommerce site. I can offer my own shop on my own webpage. That will be awhile, but I’m taking steps for the time when I can “handle” it….or need it….whichever comes first.
Meanwhile, I’m busy working on some custom projects. I just finished a canvas order, and now I am lettering my niece’s wedding invitations. It is so much fun!
I’ve been slow in getting more Moleskine journals in the shop, but I’ve ordered more and will get to doodling on them as soon as I finish my custom projects. These are so relaxing to do. I can sit in front of the TV and just doodle away. I’ve also tried out a messy font with this cool drafting tool-type pen, and I love the grungy look of it.
So that’s what I’ve been working on. How about you?
