The challenge for week 3 of The Documented Life Project 2015 is to use the color wheel. The prompt is a quote by Georgia O’Keefe: “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way…”.
I knew I wanted to use more white space, so after gluing some book pages on the pages, I covered them with gesso, then sprayed Dylusions ink onto the middle of the spread, leaving the edges white. I pulled out my molding paste and spread some through a round stencil, and the color from the ink soaked through, leaving a beautiful “color wheel”. I add some under paper, stamps, journaling, and black paint, then wrote the Prompt on the right side.
This was a fun challenge and I finally felt like I did something different. It was fun…kinda scary, but fun.
